Nexi: AI Data Analyst (“the App”) provides AI-driven analytics and business insights to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.
1. Personal Information the App Collects
When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account via APIs. This includes:
- Store Information: Your store URL, email address, and name to manage your account.
- Order Data: Details of orders placed in your store (amounts, dates, items) to analyze sales trends.
- Product Data: Titles, descriptions, and stock levels to identify top-performing items and inventory health.
- Customer Data: History and purchase frequency to calculate repeat customer rates and loyalty metrics.
- Analytics Data: Shopify-generated analytics to provide the AI with context for business summaries.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect from you and your store to provide the Service and to operate the App. Specifically:
- AI Analysis: We process your store data through Artificial Intelligence models to generate natural language summaries and insights.
- Dashboard Visualization: We transform raw data into charts and metrics displayed within the App’s interface.
- Communication: We may use your contact information to send you updates about the service or respond to your inquiries.
3. Sharing Your Personal Information
We share your Personal Information with third parties only to help us use your Personal Information as described above:
- AI Service Providers: We use secure AI processing providers (such as OpenAI or similar) to generate insights. Data sent to these providers is used solely for processing your store’s specific analysis and is not used to train global models.
- Shopify: We share information as required by Shopify’s Terms of Service to ensure the App functions correctly within their ecosystem.
- Compliance with Laws: We may share your information to comply with applicable laws and regulations or to protect our rights.
4. Data Retention
We retain your store’s data for as long as the App remains installed on your store. If you uninstall the App, we will delete all stored data related to your store within 48 hours, in accordance with Shopify’s data protection requirements.
5. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
If you or your customers are residents of certain regions (including the European Economic Area or California), you have rights to access the personal information we hold, to ask that it be corrected, updated, or deleted. To exercise these rights, please contact us through the information below.
Additionally, the App complies with Shopify’s mandatory webhooks regarding data privacy:
- Customer Privacy: We delete or redact customer data upon request via Shopify’s Privacy Webhooks.
- Store Privacy: We delete all store data when we receive a “Shop Redact” notification from Shopify.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect changes to our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
